Awhile back, I was commissioned for a children’s educational phonics book by Scholastic. This particular one focuses on a character from the Chinese mythology called, The Water Margin, by the name of Shi Jin. Lots of research went into the costume and architecture design; the only difference being that the original tale has Shi Jin with nine dragon tattoos, while this children’s version has him wear a shirt embroidered with dragons! I’d never received a copy of my work fully printed for children’s educational texts, until now. Huge thanks to Kathi Gulotta for working with me on this!
