Much of my recent work is inspired by the difficult time we are living through right now under the Trump administration and the challenges that we are facing as a nation and a planet.

A little bit about these images:

Rising Seas – this was inspired by new data that seas are rising at almost twice the rate as previously thought. Unfortunately, climate change is real, and no amount of suppressing science and reality will fix it.

Holding on to Hope – the hope I’ve found in all of this is the resistance of the people coming together from all walks of life to say no to hate and fear. I drew a hand holding on to salal leaves which is a tough and hardy evergreen bush (often used in floral arrangement) that grows all over the Pacific Northwest where I was raised.
