Six days before my interfaith book “A Muslim Family’s Chair for the Pope” was available in print, I received a text in the wee hours from a reporter in Bosnia & Herzegovina, asking if he could include an image from my website for his article about my upcoming book. The next morning, I awoke to read that article on Al Jazeera Balkans. I quickly sent its link to a reporter who interviewed me months before, for Catholic San Francisco. Its publication had been delayed a few times already. I’m not sure what the Spirits were up to, but she shot me back a reply: “Haven’t you read the newest edition, just online now?”. And there that interview was. Two articles on the same day! You must understand, one of my wishes for this project was to see it written up in a Catholic and in a Muslim news source.
And then, Klix, a secular news site in Bosnia, lifted and edited the Al Jazeera story for their own publication. Three articles published on February 7, 2017. A very lucky day!
