How many years have you been a freelance illustrator?
I’ve been working as a freelance illustrator for just over 2 years now, though some of that was juggled alongside a full-time career in the telecoms industry. Though to be truthful I did spend a lot of my time in telecoms doodling when my boss wasn’t looking. Illustration is my passion and I feel so lucky to be able to earn a living doing something I love.

How reliable are you?
I’d say I’m very reliable, no wait – very, very reliable. I haven’t missed a deadline yet and I always try to go beyond the call of duty for a client.

What can your work be applied to commercially?
So far most of my work has been in the field of childrens publishing, but I don’t like to pigeonhole my style which can easily be applied to anything that needs some fun and colour – posters, packaging, textiles, toys, websites, editorials, advertising, etc.

Who are your top clients?
I treat all my clients as top clients but if you mean who have been my biggest clients so far Id have to say – Leapfrog Enterprises, Usborne and Pearson Education.

Apart from illustration, what other skills do you have?
Just the usual stuff like flying and being able to see through walls. Also I do a mean Tony Soprano impersonation.

What’s your favourite sandwich filling?
Hmmm tough one. Usually if it has meat in it it’s going to be a winner. Lately I’ve developed an addiction to spicy pulled-pork sandwiches but a good steak and cheese is always a strong contender.
