Solar Film

In the future, your windows will double as solar panels. Or, at the very least, they’ll be coated with a transparent film that converts the sun’s rays to electricity. It sounds like science fiction, but scientists at UCLA are hard at work perfecting this potentially transformative technology, according to an item in the Natural Defense Resource Council’s quarterly publication, OnEarth. John W. Tomac came up with this clever solution to illustrate the story which appears in the Winter 2013 edition.
