How many years have you been a freelance illustrator?
I’ve been freelancing full-time for the last 2 years or so, before that I dabbled in a bit of fine art and portraiture.
How reliable are you?
I haven’t missed a deadline yet and I don’t plan on starting anytime soon!
In a commercial sense what can your work be applied too?
I’d like to think anything and everything, I’m pretty versatile in that sense. I try to include a strong narrative element in whatever I’m doing so that keeps me pretty open. I’ve always thought it’d be really interesting to illustrate a series of mugs though.
Who are your top clients?
I’ve been lucky enough to work with some fantastic people in my (albeit fledgling) career, the beautiful people at Picasso Pictures and Tokyo Plastic in particular. Ultimately though it has to be more about the project than the client, and I’ve got some projects in the works I’m really excited about.
Apart from illustration what other skills do you have?
I dabble in a little sculpting from time to time, and I will take you down on Mario Kart! Other than that I try to get down the skatepark as much as I can if I’m not painting, great way to let off some steam.
What’s your favourite sandwich filling?
Being the sophisticated fellow that I am, I’ll take a chip sandwich thanks.
