BBC History Magazine’s Christmas 2013 issue is out now, featuring seven Tudor-style illustrations by Becca Thorne for an article on the Deadly Beasts of Tudor England, by Steven Gunn and Tomasz Gromelski. Becca’s dramatic linocuts – based on woodcuts and illuminations of the time – depict some of the many animal-based incidents, both strange and everyday, that could be fatal for the people of 16th century England.
