Sunrise Tennis Illlo
The Oracle

I’ve had the pleasure of working on a few assignments for ESPN’s over the course of the last few weeks.

First up, a story about the ITP Futures Tournaments, the lowest level of professional tennis. The story follows a few players as they compete in front of sparse crowds and little money as they chase their dream in the face of Sisyphean odds.

Next, a story about a putter. It’s odd design was developed by an engineer who had worked on top secret government projects, like the B-2 stealth bomber. It drastically improves the writers short game. Them he discovers that the putter’s inventor is in reality an unemployed auto mechanic. Just like that, the magic is gone.
