Fortress of Solitude

A few weeks ago I was listening to movie director Kevin Smith’s podcast, “The Fatman on Batman” and was inspired by his love of all things comic related. His guests include legends of the genre like Neal Adams and Jim Lee, so it’s well worth a listen if you’re an aspiring comic artist.

I set to work on a couple of DC themed images, one of the Batman himself and this one of Superman’s Fortress of Solitude. I put a link to the images on my Twitter account and was thrilled to see that Kev Smith (Silent Bob himself) “favourited” the post. He even mentioned in the following week’s podcast how he had responded to a Tweet from “that artist”! Drop my name next time Kevin! Social media is amazing for putting us in touch with all manner of people.

"I CAN NOT WAIT for you to see the cover illustration (Alex did) for the next Jackson Speed novel. It is glorious. When my youngest son saw the first draft of the cover, he said, “You’re going to have to write a better book to go with that cover.”
