Xtempore Graphic novel

It’s always been my dream to work on a graphic novel and it’s finally happening.

Written by Don Christoff, ‘Xtempore’ is a time travel tale of cat and mouse set in a dystopian future. This provides ample opportunity for interesting environments and outlandish characters. I’m using Zbrush to create the characters and environments, Photoshop to add definition and inking layers, and Manga Studio to assemble it all in comic form. In this way I’ve developed a style that’s hopefully fresh and different while still being sufficiently ‘comicy’.

This will primarily be a digital comic to be read on an iPad, so we’ve hired the animation company Opertoon to help us create atmospheric animated backgrounds. Hopefully this will result in something truly unique and appealing.

We’ll be visiting various Comic Cons in both the UK and the US to make contacts and promote the project, so I guess I’d better start planning my cosplay!

This images shown here depict an early scene where the villain of the piece is heading out to wreak his special brand of chaos upon the world.

"I CAN NOT WAIT for you to see the cover illustration (Alex did) for the next Jackson Speed novel. It is glorious. When my youngest son saw the first draft of the cover, he said, “You’re going to have to write a better book to go with that cover.”
