I have created a Victorian explorer character who studies all the weird and wonderful creatures she finds on her expeditions – all things mythical and paranormal and extraordinary! She writes about them monthly in her journal and includes pencil and ink illustrations in each.

I work in pencil and ink and hand write all the text into a large hardback blank journal and then post all of it on her page online. All the ‘daguerrotype’ photographs I make using Photoshop with a mixture of freehand painting, textures and real daguerrotype photos. It probably fits into the steampunk genre although it was not designed this way, more accidental!
