Nursery Illustrations

I was recently commissioned to paint three children’s illustrations in watercolor for a nursery. The main character was the owner’s big black Newfoundland dog along with a little boy and girl. I was unfamiliar with newfoundlands but discovered that these huge, hairy beasts are terrific pets to have around children. I got the biggest kick out of a video I watched where a toddler just laid on the back of the dozing dog while hugging him and singing to himself. Dog + kids = a very sweet project.

Kathy is an exceptionally talented artist with a gift for illustrating, especially figurative images. She is easy to work with, always on time and refines her work until we are happy. We are fortunate to work with Kathy and highly recommend her.
