Nike Chicago Bears T-shirt Illustration
Posted 5 years ago and submitted by Matt Curtis | Share link:

I was hired by Nike to do a T-shirt for the Chicago Bears. We decided on an illustration of the bear stepping out of the stadium to give him an overwhelming, larger-than-life appearance.
I had a lot of fun focusing on the details in this illustration. I wanted to create an image that combined the polished look of vector graphics with a more energetic, hand drawn feel. The number 34 is the jersey number of Walter Payton, one of their most famous players. The gloves and cleats were both official Nike products that were released the same year that I did the illustration.
