So, you’ve made it! You’re a full time, professional illustrator. Great isn’t it? Well yes, it does have it’s moments that’s for sure. Seeing your work in print is always a bit of a buzz. Walking around a bookstore and proudly announcing to total strangers, ‘Look. I illustrated that. Those are my drawings. That’s my name on the cover!’ (cue bemused look and rapid departure from the scene). But let’s not forget the other stuff. The late payers, the late nights, the tight deadlines, the ‘loose’ briefs and of course, all those unpaid holidays you’ll be taking. But would you really rather be doing something else for a living? Hell, no!
