Pulp Style Illustration for Crimson Streets Magazine

Crimson Streets Magazine, an on-line fiction journal, published the short story “Lapot” accompanied by my illustration of the story. The tale is a dark noir sci-fi thriller set in modern Serbia, yet is based on the ancient practice known as a Lapot. The plot incorporates with a mythological supernatural twist as well.

I painted the artwork in oil and transferred to digital format for minor editing in Photoshop. It was a great opportunity to explore the pulp style again, and was happy I got to combine a traditional approach in this digital era.
