The Golden Age of Television – Financial Times Weekend Magazine

I was recently commissioned by the Financial Times to produce a lead and spot illustration to run with an article titled The Golden Age of Television, published in the Weekend Magazine. The brief was relatively open, though needed to communicate the idea of the golden glow of modern television production and quality values that lighten up our viewing experience. The client then wanted the spot to zoom in to the lead visual and show a form of action / viewing selection. This recent work is another example of me using gradients and grain far more in my work.

‘Marcus has been an absolute delight to work with. Nothing is ever too much bother and I have been blown away by how incredibly talented he is. Always takes the time to explain his reasoning for certain aspects of his design and has been very adaptable to a number of different briefs. He is our go to guy for all our design needs. Couldn’t recommend him highly enough.'
