I was recently honored as a winner in this year’s Illustrators of the Future Contest. This contest is in its 29th year and is judged by some amazing speculative fiction artists, among whom Larry Elmore is a childhood hero of mine (apparently he specifically said that he quite liked my work!).
My illustrations earned a cash prize and a trip to Hollywood for a week-long intensive workshop as well as being feted at a gala awards ceremony which reportedly draws in excess of one thousand attendees. There I’ll have a shot at winning the Golden Brush Award and a further $5,000 cash prize. My art will then be published in the 34th edition of an annual bestselling anthology of new science fiction writers.
