Dry Riesling – The Wall Street Journal

I worked with The Wall Street Journal on an editorial brief for the 15th July issue. For the Off Duty section, the illustration was to run with an article about Dry Riesling. The brief was relatively open, though with a focus on capturing a combination of dryness and the geographical locations Riesling is available from. Using a strong orange, yellow and blue colour palette to communicate dry, but with a warm, enticing glow. Art directed by Forest Evashevski.

‘Marcus has been an absolute delight to work with. Nothing is ever too much bother and I have been blown away by how incredibly talented he is. Always takes the time to explain his reasoning for certain aspects of his design and has been very adaptable to a number of different briefs. He is our go to guy for all our design needs. Couldn’t recommend him highly enough.'
