Being an illustrator makes drawing your job, which can sometimes suck the fun out of it. I really look forward to Inktober, a yearly challenge for artists to make one new drawing every day (preferably with ink, right up my alley) in October. There is an official prompt list if you need help with new ideas, but I tend to go off-topic and draw whatever I feel like in that time I’ve set aside. So far this includes a zombie-eating Osprey, Oprah Winfrey, a spooky hand, and The GZA, a member of The Wu-Tang Clan. While I rarely manage to finish 31 new pieces, I really enjoy the work that comes out of it and the ideas it gives me to apply to my client work. Here are a few highlights from this year so far, follow me on Instagram to see what other weirdness I come up with!
