‘Kingdom Ka’ was my final university project, and since graduating has becoming something of a passion project. The game leads the player through an unusual kingdom shaped from collage and pattern work, that explores old religious and philosophical stories in an interactive way.
The original objective was to create something to let the user ‘wake up’ and see the world better around them. This led me down the path of reading many religious texts, thought experiments, and finding interactive art pieces to build something that did just that. The project lent itself to designing vibrant characters and unique environments to explore, and the result, I hope, is a pensive journey that stays with the player.
I’m excited for it’s release at the end of the month.
