National Gallery Explorers Club – Publications
Posted 5 years ago and submitted by Darren Gate | Share link:

I’ve recently been working with an illustration group within the National Galleries of Edinburgh. The main task has been to create a series of educational illustrations for digital and print publications.

My illustrations have followed the story of a wee girl who realises that the pictures within the Scottish Collection come alive when she looks at them really closely! Soon enough she’s going on a pretty wild gallery adventure with a lion, a skating minister, a white drake, plus of a whole bunch of other characters from throughout the gallery.

Thanks for reading and for more, similar projects please check out my portfolio.

Darren is an enthusiastic, committed illustrator who is a pleasure to work with. He listened closely to our brief and feedback, he was a good communicator and he created some great artwork for us. We'd be very happy to work with him again!
