Recent additions to my interest in historical and religious artefacts of the world. Shown here are a study of a Buddhist sculpture from the Song Dynasty as well as an illustration of Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s terracotta army. While perusing images for the latter and seeing how the sculptures were arranged, I thought it would be fun to pay homage to Norman Rockwell’s “The Golden Rule” in terms of composition and perhaps as well by adopting Rockwell’s message of learning about other cultures and beliefs to better understand one another.
