Book Jacket Illustration for Alvin Baylor Lives!

This summer I had the pleasure of illustrating the full wraparound book cover for the novel, “Alvin Baylor Lives!” by Maximilian Gray. This story is a futuristic space adventure about Alvin Baylor, a disgraced athlete who is given a second chance but at a great risk that could cost him his life. The novel was written in the tradition of sci-fi pulp novels, set in the distant future and with a contemporary vibe. As such, I was asked to create the illustration in something reminiscent of old pulp novels, but with a modern aesthetic touch to attract contemporary readers. I was also tasked with designing the type for the front cover, spine and back cover. It was entirely created and painted digitally on Photoshop.

The book was independently published and is available for purchase on Amazon in e-book and paperback format.

"I would like to give a shout out to Roger Betka, he just finish my band's EP artwork, and he went above and beyond. He was always punctual about responding, and very easy to talk to. He even gave it to me before the deadline. 5 stars easily. Would highly recommend."
