Email Auto-Responders for Mailpoet

This is my latest illustration for a blog post by Mailpoet, an email software company. This illustration is a headline for an article about email auto-responders. I wanted to find a fun and creative visual solution for conveying the purpose and benefits of an auto-responder without being too cute or resorting to stereotypical email symbolism (like letters, paper airplanes, etc). I boiled the concept of the auto-responder down to its essence and arrived at the idea that the program constructs an email automatically, like robots assembling machinery in a factory. I liked the idea of drawing a bunch of automated robot arms that bring together the “pieces” of an email.
