Email Auto-Responders for Mailpoet

This is my latest illustration for a blog post by Mailpoet, an email software company. This illustration is a headline for an article about email auto-responders. I wanted to find a fun and creative visual solution for conveying the purpose and benefits of an auto-responder without being too cute or resorting to stereotypical email symbolism (like letters, paper airplanes, etc). I boiled the concept of the auto-responder down to its essence and arrived at the idea that the program constructs an email automatically, like robots assembling machinery in a factory. I liked the idea of drawing a bunch of automated robot arms that bring together the “pieces” of an email.

"I just wanted to say thank you so much for your latest piece. It is honestly unbelievably amazing and probably my favourite illustration of the year so far. When [we] saw it, even though we had another cover planned, we had to use yours instead as it’s just too good not to. Thank you so much."
