Chocks away chaps – for another character design. It’s flight lieutenant ‘Know-It-Owl’ of RAF Twit-Twoo Squadron. Well… maybe that bit is made up. A recent character design for a private client that will be featuring in at least one of three picture books I am being commissioned to illustrate. I can’t wait! The work she produces is, of course, delightful and speaks for itself; but I was also impressed with her professionalism in firstly explaining to me exactly what the process was of commissioning her, and the way she produced the work well within the time frame she had said. Throughout, she was most obliging in incorporating adjustments or re-drafts I requested, and she was always so pleasant and helpful that I felt I was dealing with a personal friend. I would have no hesitation in asking her to illustrate for me again, or in recommending her to someone else. And she's fun
