Jekyll and Hyde for fine art print series

I painted this as one of a series of A3 fine art prints I produce. This series is based around characters from any genre and done in a comic/book cover format, with each one telling its own story.
I don’t use fonts for the titles, as I want them to be part of the illustration and add to the story for that individual piece. So each word/letter is worked out, drawn to fit and enhance the piece, then painted as part of the whole illustration.

Since starting this series I have included many of my own characters along with some cool existing ones. At first there was only to be 12 in the series, currently there are over 40 and still growing!

London Graffiti Tours, Paul Webby,
Toby took a hastily drawn concept sketch and with a few pertinent questions he was able to tease out all the detail he needed to complete Gerald the bear. After deciding on a palette I left him to his own devices and the result was an artful rendition of the concept replete with Toby's signature flair.
