The Hundred-Mile-an-Hour-Dog by Jeremy Strong

As a kid the first book I properly read on my own and really enjoyed was The Hundred-Mile-an-Hour-Dog by Jeremy Strong. So this week I decided to experiment with designing my own illustrated cover.

Using a mixture of watercolor and oil-based pencils I drew each part of my design on paper and assembled the full layout in Photoshop.

I wanted to create a design that was bright and colorful, that mixed the character style I have developed in previous projects with the style I use when sketching in my sketchbook.
