I made this illustration for the Financial Times on an article talking about the Binhai shopping district and in particular, it’s magnificent library. Interestingly, the district seems to be like a ghost town while showcasing the extravagance of China’s economy which the writer now looks at in reflection of the recent tariff war with the US.
