Where Be That Blackbird To?

Somerset is a funny old county full of legend, cider, rolling hills and low lying levels. Also home to The Wurzels who sang about a pesky Blackbird and arch nemesis of the farmer whom the little feathered one loves to torment! I’ve grown up hearing this song and it always makes me smile. So I thought it’d be fun to illustrate and turn into a poster print as I know many West Country dwellers and lovers would appreciate the humour! Glastonbury seemed like the most iconic Somerset location to base the piece and the vibrant red Katy apple makes a fantastic contrast to a summer sky and the glossy blackbird.
