A Journey into Linocut – Early Beginnings
Posted 2 years ago and submitted by Sketchbuck | Share link: http://illo.cc/83454

It’s long been an ambition of mine to learn how to linocut, and eventually, woodcut. I’ve admired the skills required to create detailed imaged, in a medium that initially may be seen as limiting.

A few months ago a friend of mine shared their tools and time to encourage me into the medium, and I’ve not looked back since. Being a creative through and through, I was craving an outlet that differed from my usual work, linocut has given me the ability to unwind, but still vent my visions in a therapeutic way.

Here are a few examples of my creations so far, more updates please be sure to follow my twitter and instagram!

'Very handsome commission from a very talented and courteous artist! It was done in an extremely timely manner with complete communication, and the piece was even based on incomplete reference materials of a character that has not yet been fully designed. Cheers to Sketchbuck for the fantastic piece they've done for me.'
