The War on Carbon Emissions for Mother Jones

If we were fighting climate change like a war, we’d be winning. That’s the subject of the cover story in the current issue of Mother Jones. The magazine calls for a World War II-level of investment in research and development in order to limit carbon emissions and argues that it is the only thing we can do to prevent a worst-case scenario with regards to climate change. I was tasked with making art – and and asked to draw on the poster art of WPA and WWII while doing so. It’s something I’ve done before, and honestly, something I spent a lot of time doing 20 years ago in art school. If a President Sanders or Warren wants to hire artists to promote a similar effort, I’m available… just putting that out there.
