Book Sales to Benefit Australia Wildfire Relief

During the month of January, I’m donating 100% of profits from Etsy sales of my latest book with Quarto Publishing “Draw Like an Artist: 100 Realistic Animals” to Australian wildfire relief and recovery. Learn to draw koalas and kangaroos, and help them at the same time! $300 has already been raised since launching the fundraiser.

Featuring 600+ sketches depicting a vast array of beautiful animal forms, detailed faces, and more, “Draw Like an Artist: 100 Realistic Animals” is a must-have visual reference book for student artists, scientific illustrators, urban sketchers, and anyone seeking to improve their realistic drawing skills. This contemporary, step-by-step guidebook demonstrates fundamental art concepts like proportion, anatomy, and spatial relationships as you learn to draw a full range of creatures, all shown from a variety of perspectives. Each set of illustrations takes you from beginning sketch lines to a finished drawing. This is the third book in the “Draw Like an Artist” series, and the second one I’ve illustrated.

Donations will be split between Wildlife Victoria and the Australian Red Cross; links are in the Etsy listing.

I had the pleasure of commissioning Melissa to create a fundraising illustration for dragonfly conservation. Melissa not only delivered a captivating image, on deadline, she also went above and beyond by hand-coloring each and every one of her prints. Melissa is a talented professional who understands the big impact of small details and going the extra mile. I wholeheartedly endorse Melissa as an illustrator, a professional, and a genuinely nice person.
