Simple, graphic portrait of the World Champion for Saturday’s Guardian. The copy was late in (there was a very tight deadline, I knew it was about Tyson though), so I went with a pose and expression which would hopefully cover the angles Barney Ronay was writing about. Three hours from commission to artwork delivery. The online version goes up Friday afternoon, and one really nice aspect of this job was how unusually stripped back the whole page design was in the printed paper on Saturday morning, pretty much just the blue/yellow and greyscale (with newspaper work, what you draw and how it looks on your desktop, compared to how the colours come out when printed at volume on Newsprint can be a bit crushing).
