I was commissioned to paint a portrait of my client and her dog flying in the air. The idea was based on an antique statue of a girl sleeping whilst holding onto a dog jumping in mid air. They both have the impression they are flying, with the dog stretched out and the girl’s dress and veil flowing in the air. The expression of movement for the dog, fur and fabrics was contrasting with the sleeping girl’s beautifully calm face.

My task was to create a painting of my client and her dog with a similar concept in mind. Even though this was a commission for a painting, I couldn’t help create an animated version as well to bring the painting to life by emphasizing the action of jumping or flying. My client was very happy with the outcome and the piece is going to decorate her new house.

Veronika is very talented and is professional in her communication. From the very beginning she made me feel understood and was a genuine pleasure to work with. Her execution of the idea and project was better than I could have imagined ever myself! I can't recommend working with her strongly enough without it sounding over the top... but that's precisely how I feel about the finished work I received from her- over the top thrilled with the final work.
