Stumblor Pinball illustration

I was approached by Davey from Stumblor Pinball to create a new design that incorporated specific pinball elements into an intricate cityscape. Definitely a fun brief!

The image has a few references to specific pinball machines, which were stylised to fit within an isometric city. I had never really looked into the designs of classic pinball machines, but got lost looking through pictures. There is so much great artwork.

To be as versatile as possible with its use, Davey asked me to produce this as a vector image, rather than my usual raster. I’ve worked in vector before, but not for some time, I enjoyed revisiting the format – the flexibility of editing strokes is fantastic, but it doesn’t quite feel as natural as raster editors.
