New project for this #Inktober – My attempt to get better at storytelling

Ever since I found out about Inktober and all these October challenges I’ve been crazy about participating and create little projects every year. I love the Autumn and Halloween and that always puts me in the mood to create!

This year, I’m taking on an ambitious project to get better at telling stories with my art and also creating more full and interesting compositions – all of this is a bit hard for me – in hopes to broaden my skills and improve my portfolio. So I’m narrating the story of Pumpky, the jack-o-lantern ghost, during this month!

Let me tell you an introduction to the story behind this series: Pumpkin Cemetery is a ghostly place that only physically appears on earth in October and disappears after Halloween. Its habitats, pumpkin decorations and jack-o-lantern ghosts always keep behind its boundaries. However, this year, Pumpky – our protagonist – tired of always staying in the cemetery decides to go on an adventure. But, he has no idea of all the kinds of creatures and Halloween adventures that await him!

If you want to follow along, all the pieces will be uploaded to my Instagram 🧡

"Patricia Pedroso is a brilliant illustrator. She's extraordinarily talented, creative and intuitive. I'm so proud of her work on our children's book, HOW DO YOU KNOW? She took my vision of the story and brought it into a beautiful, imaginative reality. Add to that, she's incredibly positive and easy to work with. I hope to be lucky enough to work with her again! -- Cathy Montosa, Author, HOW DO YOU KNOW?"
