Sketch for Survival
Posted 2 years ago and submitted by Vicky Scott | Share link:

Earlier on this year I created a design for Explorers against Extinction for their Sketch for Survival exhibition and fundraiser. I created my design as a paper collage using a mix of shop bought and found papers such as magazines and packaging and painted pieces of paper to give it lots of lovely textures.

My original Red Squirrel collage is now available to bid for online and shares the same bidding lot as a certain Mr Stephen Fry! It’ll also be part of their exhibition at the Oxo Gallery on the Southbank (pandemic permitting!) from the 11th- 22nd November.

If you like my design but can’t afford an original don’t worry, I’m stocking them in my Etsy shop as greeting cards and giving a donation from sales to the charity too.

Vicky is friendly and creative, and her style is bright, fun and very eye-catching. Working in stages from rough concept to finished art, she was open to feedback and willing to accommodate amends and a couple of extras along the way. It was an absolute pleasure working with her and hope I get the opportunity again in the near future.
