And that’s another one complete! I’m happy to show you all my latest finished painting, ‘Arsenal Stadium, Highbury’.
While we’re talking about Arsenal, it wasn’t a great result over the weekend. You know what helps though? Nostalgia. This wonderful stadium was home to Arsenal Football Club from 6th September 1913 to 7th May 2006. There weren’t many stadiums like it, from its beautiful Art Deco architecture, to its brilliant white and red colour facade.
The Emirates Stadium is a wonderful arena, but I personally miss Highbury for its character and the presence it carried.
I loved painting this, and it brought back a lot of wonderful memories. As always, the piece was hand drawn and then hand painted using acrylic paints. I’ll be selling prints of this artwork from my print shop.
