Shared Language educational illustrations

Series of “Shared Language” graphics for Shenandoah University’s President’s Representatives of Inclusion, Diversity, & Equity (PRIDE) intended for educational presentations across the university’s campus, and to other university-affiliated groups. These graphics portray the concepts of Diversity, Inclusion, Inequality, Equality, Equity, and Justice utilizing Shenandoah icons, mascots, and branding.

Through Shenandoah-inspired imagery such as the hill-valley swoosh, the dual stars, and the Sarah’s Glen pavilion, in addition to the bug-like characters created to mimic the Shenandoah ‘Buzzy the Hornet’ mascot, I was able to create a series of illustrations that communicated these complicated definitions in a well-designed and clear fashion.

Digital illustrations. Created with Procreate.

Leah is passionate, professional and so talented. The vinyl wall mural she designed for Shenandoah University's Mosaic Center for Diversity is the focal point of our space and gets compliments from every person who visits the Mosaic Center. I can't recommend Leah Sayles more highly!
