This started out as a simple portrait – and as happens with most of my work – turned into a 40 hour painting! I used an amalgamation of references from the internet, as well as the base reference I took from the ArtPose FE app (very useful for quick pose reference!).

I had fun doing all of the details, including painting the jewelry, fine skin lines, and see-through trees. Portrait painting is something I find very enjoyable, and I love finding new ways to add a twist to my art. I’ve been trying out some new style choices and I’m happy with the way this one turned out.
