A fantastical illustration, privately commissioned as a tattoo design for an individual client. The illustration is based on the Nordic Tree connecting all worlds, or ‘Yggdrasil’. For this design, I incorporated the animals that guard over Yggdrasil and the worlds that the tree connects: a serpent entwined in the roots, four stags, and an eagle with a hawk perched on its head.
