Gritty nude – Painting for the Philadelphia Flyers

This was by far my most unique commission to date. While the Philadelphia Flyers were still playing without fans back in February, I was hired to paint their mascot, Gritty, during a nationally televised game. I had the duration of the game to paint Gritty naked from life on a 30″ x 48″ canvas. It was a super awesome opportunity and the event was received enthusiastically by Gritty nation. Check out the this article by for a more in-depth look into the event!

I spent a lot of time searching for "the right artist" to help me with the artwork for my new music CD and got lucky when I came across Ben's site! I was impressed by his portfolio and the variety of work which demonstrated strong technical skills and versatility. Working with Ben on this project has been a great experience - he's so easy to work with, has a really positive attitude and is keen on helping the client materialize the artistic vision. Ben delivered exactly what I had in mind and it was a lot of fun to see him take my brief descriptions and converge on what I wanted.
