I’ve recently had the pleasure of painting this tabletop RPG character portrait: meet Aruun, autumn eladrin and astronomer. My client sent me their character’s backstory and their composition ideas, and then I did my best to combine all these things together, hinting at various elements of his story and playing with colours to combine them all harmoniously.

It also was an opportunity to paint pretty golden constellations, which I’m always happy to do.
