I was ecstatic to be offered this amazing opportunity to paint a mural for the 2021 Vancouver Queer Arts Festival. This year’s festival ran from July 24 – Aug 13 and featured a plethora of amazing content from exhibitions to live performances. I was hired to create a mural for their offices, which is also home to the SUM Gallery, Canada’s only queer mandated visual art gallery, which runs amazing exhibitions year round. Their team was a joy to work with and gave me complete creative control (an artist’s dream!) over what I wanted to adorn their walls with. Here is the final result, “Free”.
