Colleges and universities are back in session. For real this time, with students back on campus. The Chronicle of Higher Education takes a look that challenges colleges and universities are dealing with this fall. First, the pandemic is ongoing and the delta variant threatens to make it worse. Second, faculty and staff are heading for the exits and leaving the profession all together. The last academic year was the breaking point for overworked and underpaid staff. And Third, a workforce that wants to stay remote and institutions struggling to make sure they’re properly engaged with their students. A situation some are struggling to navigate.
