World Extreme Medicine

Last summer I was asked to design a piece of artwork for the World Extreme Medicine organisation that could be given out to delegates at their annual summit. They provide courses to medical professionals to carry out their jobs to all kinds of extreme environments (from underwater to war zones and even in space!). The theme I was given for the poster was Pushing Boundaries, which fits in with the different locations and challenging nature of their courses.

I was meant to create just one design, but their liked both my roughs so I ended up doing two! I needed to create a piece that covered all the different major environments, so I created my designs set in a pretty busy landscape, combining night and day, land and sea and lots of characters (spot the bagpipe player being airlifted in as their meeting was held in Edinburgh!).

Testimonial
Vicky is friendly and creative, and her style is bright, fun and very eye-catching. Working in stages from rough concept to finished art, she was open to feedback and willing to accommodate amends and a couple of extras along the way. It was an absolute pleasure working with her and hope I get the opportunity again in the near future.
