I created the illustrated the map for L.E.A.F, New York City’s first annual flower festival. Based in the iconic Meatpacking District the event took place over the weekend of 12th June 2021. I was commissioned to illustrate a series of floral installations and displays created by renowned companies such as Stella Artois, TF Cornerstone and East Olivia.

I created the map with hand-lettered street names using pen and ink. I also created all the decorative flourishes and details used on the L.E.A.F logo, marketing and promotional material and market stalls. It was a delightful project to work on and loved seeing photos of the map in situ in NYC.

Kate’s illustrations gave the front section of BBC World Histories magazine its own distinct character. She provided striking, quirky and original illustrations for a wide range of topics, in a tight timeframe. We liked her flexibility, lightness of touch and thoughtful approach. It was a great pleasure working with her!
