Illustrating in the Space Between a Rock and a Cute Face for DH&Co

At the end of last year I had the pleasure of illustrating my first children’s book with DH&Co, telling the story of a little rock with a wild imagination and high hopes as he sits on the work bench in the craftsman workshop comparing himself to all of the big, expensive statues. This was an absolute joy to work on from start to finish with lots of unique character development opportunities and a huge amount of freedom to bring my own style and look to the story.

This double page spread was a real highlight and from the moment I first read the manuscript this image was planted firmly in my head. It was a real joy to then make it a reality.
Please take a look at my portfolio gallery for a closer look.
