3 Things I love: Pin-Ups, Makeup, and Classic Horror Movies. Lucky for me, I was able to combine these seemingly unrelated interests into a final assignment for my Master’s Program at SCAD, creating the fictional “Creatures of the Night” Collection for the existing cosmetics company, theBalm! For this assignment, I had to create the visual concept, packaging design, and marketing images for this line. Each product in this Halloween-themed collection is decorated with a distinct pin-up reimaging of Universal’s Classic Movie Monsters, and the shades are appropriately named after women related to each pin-up girl.

The liquid lipsticks, represented by a sultry female vampire, comes in shades “Lucy”, “Mina” and “Elvira”

The moisturizing lip balm, ironically paired with a bikini-clad Mummy, is available in “Liz” and “Evie”

Finally, the Bride of Frankenstein eyeshadow palette features shades “Mary”, “Shelley” and “Emily”

This project was hands down my favorite assignment during my master’s program, and I wish this cosmetics collection was real every October!
