Prime Ministers of Canada

I did this as a passion project. I remember the designer Lauren Hom gave a talk at the Camp festival in Calgary, and she stressed that, as a creative, you should always have a passion project going. I have ever since, and it enriches my life and career. I love doing caricature and had seen Tom Richmond’s Presidents of the United States series and I thought that would be fun. I learned so much about Canadian Prime Ministers, like a couple of them never married, there’s only ever been one female Prime Minister, and Trudeau’s dad gave the finger to the media. I experimented with media a bit while doing them, and there was no client telling me what should be done. Now I’m hooked on passion projects and am working on a book pitch with a weird but true story from my childhood.
